Long trench coats with very pronounced shoulder pads, little black dress, oversize jumpers, drainpipes, studded accesories … a touch of London-flavoured rock made by Gala González, who’s working as artistic designer for The Music Collection. It’s a successful fusion which unites fashion and music thanks to Afolfo Dominguez and the Spanish radio station “los 40 principales”. Who better than Gala to move this freedom of spirit from the streets of London to our wardrobes? Lana, un Básico para Siempre

Si hablamos de invierno, el tejido por excelencia que mejor le representa es sin duda la lana. No hay armario que se le resista ni temporada que le destrone, nos conquista año trás año y más que una opción alternativa, se ha convertido ya en pura necesidad. Abrigos de lana a cuadros al más puro estilo british, jerséis joia que entremezclan lana e hilos de plata, vestidos de lana gruesa rizada y trenzada, vestidos mini o a media pierna, son infinitas las alternativas que nos presentan. Mi propuesta, un gran básico, un jersey de pico en cashmere azul grisaceo que le da ese punto especial y diferente, a la vez que combinable y resultón para cualquier look de día. Como único detalle, un broche a modo de flor de Angeles Almuna Design, conocéis sobradamente mi fascinación por sus diseños que ofrecen ese plus que marca la diferencia.

Wool, a Timeless Basic

If we’re talking about Winter, the fabric par excellence which best represents it without any shadow of a doubt is wool. There isn’t a wardrobe that resists it nor a season that dethrones it, it wins us over year after year and rather than being an alternative option, it is indeed a pure necessity. Checked woollen coats in purest British style, jewelled jumpers wich intertwine wool and silver thread, baggy mohair jumpers which serve as jackets, dresses made from thick curly and pleated wool, the alternatives we’re presented with are endless. My suggestion, a great basic, a v-neck jumper in greyish blue cashmere which adds that extra special unique touch, at the same time it’s combinable and it works exceptionally for any daytime look. As a unique detail, a flower-shaped broach by Angeles Almuna Design, you all know very well that I’m fascinated by her designs which offer that je-ne-sais-quoi that makes all the difference.

La Jaula de Teresa Helbig

Vestidos armados a modo de jaula en los que el tejido se va construyendo lentamente, boleros y faldas con plumas que individualmente y de forma artesanal se van cosiendo, rayas negras que estampan sobre los vestidos la idea de las jaulas de los pájaros, grandes lazadas de piel a modo de cinturón que definen con delicadeza las cinturas, independientemente cual sea su fuente de inspiración, Teresa Helbig siempre brinda culto a la feminidad de la mujer. Su colección de invierno se inspira en las jaulas y los pájaros y nos recuerda que a la contra de sentirnos atrapadas en ellas, tenemos las puertas abiertas al mundo para mostrar su belleza. Una colección con volúmenes extraordinarios, ligereza de tejidos y con el blanco, negro y rosa palo como protagonistas. Teresa Helbig’s Cage

Dresses that are armed by a cage where the fabric slowly builds up, “boleros” and skirts with feathers which individually and in true handcrafted style continue to be sewn, black stripes that imprint on the dresses the image of birdcages, big leather ribbons which serve as belts and delicately define the waist, independently of what its source of inspiration is, Teresa Helbig always champion and showcases the feminity of women. Her winter collection is inspired by birdcages and it reminds us that, on the contrary of making us feel trapped by them, we have got the doors open to the world in order to show its beauty. A collection with extraordinary volumes, lightness of fabrics and with white, black and pale pink as the stars.
